Hey hey. Well I have yet to update since the first ugly truth post of wanting flawless skin. So, since then it has been a little over a month, 35 days to be exact since I started taking better care of my skin. Before I continue, you should know that I did miss a couple of days when I was a tad lazy perhaps a week in total, and I had some breakouts recently due to that time of the month.
Okay here's the photo taken just now, day 35. I put it side by side the first photo taken for comparison. You can click to enlarge.
Personally, I think my skin has improved tremendously. My overall complexion is more even. And it doesn't look as dull anymore. The scars are fading too. I'm a satisfied customer! So what miraculous product did I use? Drum roll please. Dumderummdummdummm.
HAHAHAHA. Jyeah, Safi RANIA GOLD. Who would've guessed? I bought the whole range. The facial scrub, facial cream cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizing day cream, moisturizing night cream, eye contour cream (I forgot to include in the photo) and the beauty cream.
What made me buy this? Well I was at Giant, was browsing around the skincare section, was thinking of getting something from Garnier, but then I saw this, it had this box set, and I kinda liked how it looked, and thought, hey why not, plus the fact it's 'selamat dan suci', and that it was cheap! I can't remember how much all of this cost, because I bought the ones not in the set on a different day, and I threw the receipt. But if I remember correctly it's less than RM200 in total.
Okay, the other two, the one in the white tube is Darphin Overnight Refining Lotion, and the facial soap is a Black Mud Soap by RIVAGE which was gift from my brother when he went to Syria. The Darphin is one of my older facial skincare that I have yet to finish. These are my uh 'secondary' skincare products which I use alongside Safi.
So a little review of Safi. I absolutely love the scent. Somewhat refreshing. The scrub and the facial cleanser, doesn't leave my skin too tight or too dry. The toner is alcohol free so it doesn't sting your face. The serum is wonderful. I love how it feels like satin when I rub it into my face. Then the eye cream (only use this when I have those tired eyes day) is nothing extraordinary. The day cream which is SPF20PA++ feels a bit thick and oily at first, but when you rub it in for a while, it seeps into the skin it moisturizes well, same goes with the night cream. The beauty cream is used whenever I want to apply makeup, it's almost like a foundation. Since I don't use any foundation, this cream comes in handy.
So other than skincare, just recently I started eating vitamins and drinking more water.
I even bought a fancy water bottle to 'motivate' me to drink more often. As for the vitamins, I'm taking Vitamin C for health and skin, the Vitamin B family which helps me feel more energetic both mind and body, also for the skin and hair as well , Evening Primrose Oil + Fish Oil is for my overall well-being, good for the ladies. Too lazy to list the details, always can be googled if you're interested to know more. I think it's been more or less a week since I started this, and I can already feel the difference!
Okay, last weekend I met up with my lovely scarfletos and deareast Ami showed me a photo of her being made up by Bobbi Brown. So apa lagi, of course I went! It's actually a contest, they take before and after photos. And we had to complete this slogan "Pretty Powerful is...." and mine was, "learning to LOVE yourself inside out!"
Which is exactly what I am doing right now yo. And am definitely feeling Pretty Powerful! So ehem *cough*cough*, it would be great if you could vote me by 'liking' my photo there at:
Here's a screenshot of the page where my photo is at. And I think it's cool that my id is '919'. I wonder if it's my lucky number. Hehe. I kinda look funny though smiling with my teeth showing, cause I have wabbit teef!
Prizes are awesome. Grand prize would be a Bobbie lifestyle trip to NYC with a Bobbi Brown hamper, 1st & 2nd you get an Apple iPad like whoa with hampers, the consolation prizes, you'll get Bobbi Brown hampers as well. I liiiiike.
And I even bought myself some Bobbi Brown makeup, my first time evarrrr. And I'm absolutely loving it. I'll talk about the makeup in a separate entry alright? Maybe even do a video as well. Ahaha, yeah yeah, which reminds me of the hijab tutorial some of you have requested. Eeek. Okthxbye.
